The "Hercules" Rice Miller Tester is a reliable and accurate
machine for testing rice samples to determine milling quality, grade,

- Rice Sizing Device |
The "Hercules" Rice Sizing Device accurately test cleaned,
shelled, milled samples in order to determine the percentage of broken
presents.
This rice sizer consist of a sturdy wood frame that accommodates perforated
aluminum plates mounted on four metal pedestals and connected to an
eccentric linkage, activated by an electric motor to produce a sharp
reciprocating lateral movement. All firmly secured to a wooden base
for table-top operation. Two plates are used in the machine simultaneously
to make a sample run (sold separately).
Operation:
1. Insert two perforated plates into the machine with the perforation
size according to the type of separation required.
2. Weight 1000 grams sample of cleaned, shelled and milled rice.
3. Start the motor (be sure the plates are securely fastened before
starting).
4. Place the rice sample into the top plate and place a sample pan
under the hopper to catch the rice that flows
over the plates.
5. The machine is run until the sample stops flowing over the plates
into the sample pan. Stop the motor. Take
the portion from the sample left on the sample pan and weight it.
6. Take the portion from any sample that remained in the plates and
weight it.
7. From these figures you will obtain the percentage of separation.

HERCULES - Grain Laboratory Aspirator |
This Hercules Laboratory Aspirator separates granular
and foreign materials by means of a controlled current of air passing
through the material as it falls, at regulated rates of flow, in a
thin stream from a spreading cone. Originally designed for use with
grain samples, it eliminates much of the tedious hand picking of sample
separations formely necessary.
The air flow passing through the material is controlled with a sensitive
valve which restricts or increases the air passage to the centrifugal
collector. Variable fan speed control is also available for more precision
needed with difficult separations.
